Project Description
This
project will benefit the Animal Welfare Association (AWA) in Voorhees, NJ. They are a non profit organization which
takes in cares for homes for sick, injured, and homeless animals. The project will consist of:
1.
Repairing the fence surrounding the play area
Ø Major repairs will be done on over 212 feet of fence, 58 of which will require complete replacement.
Bars will be secured to the top of the entire fence to straighten it and to provide support. All the poles will be straightened
and capped.
- Building Benches
Ø Three outdoor benches will be built and placed at various areas at the animal shelter. One will
be placed outside of the fenced in play area, one will be placed between the assessment building and the play area, and one
will be placed right outside the kennel for the volunteers and the visitors.
- Building Play Equipment
Ø New play equipment will be added to the play area for the dogs. This will include a ramp for
the puppies and a small box for storing toys.
- Planting Shrubs and Flowers
Ø Shrubs and flowers will be planted on the outside corners of the play area and at the
entrance of the AWA.
